Whatever it was, I am sure it isn’t as you imagined.
???? Yet, in that gap between then & now, we’ve had ups and downs, wins & losses, happy times & heartbreaking ones – but here we are. We made it.
But not everyone is OK. #MentalHealth challenges have always been a part of many people’s lives.
This year & maybe for years to come, everyone will be impacted by mental illness personally or with the people around them.
❤️ But there is always hope. Think back to your earlier tough times – you got through & you will again. And you probably did it with support and love.
That’s why R U OK? Day has never been so important. Never.
???? Today, please, reach out. Start or have another “how’s things going?” conversation with someone – for your own mental health as well as theirs.
You don’t have to be an expert. You don’t need to fix the problem. You won’t make it worse. You can learn how: ruok.org.au
???? Make a list of people to keep in touch with & do it, no excuses.
Commit to regularly check in & ask RUOK? Not just on RUOK Day. It will change the world.
