For over 30 years, Anne has worked globally with organisations as diverse as airlines, agribusiness, finance, defence, aerospace systems, multi-beverage, the professions and property development.

Anne’s additional credibility and leadership comes from senior corporate roles as a change expert and leader, her early career in various legal roles and as human resources director for two leading international companies.

Anne has been a member of several Boards. She has also held over 30 leadership positions including President of the Women Lawyers’ Association of NSW and State and Territory Councillor of the Australian Human Resources Institute.

Anne is one of the best speakers in this country. Her material is extremely well researched and immensely valuable. You come away from her presentations understanding the content and, even better, knowing how to apply it. I would not hesitate in recommending Anne as a speaker for any event where an intelligent, articulate and engaging presenter is required.

Anne has received various awards including the Nevin Award, the highest honour bestowed by the National Speakers Association of Australia for excellence with service. Anne also received the Speaker of the Year Award in NSW NSAA.

Academic, Research and Authoring

Anne is up-to-date because she is continually researching and writing – a passion inspired by her first career as an academic and barrister before she discovered the real world!

She is the author of one book, has co-authored four others and written hundreds of publications including articles, papers and e-books on a range of subjects including neuroscience and leadership, organisational change, leadership and human resources management, organisational development and a variety of ethical and legal issues.

Anne holds two degrees with honours in law, and two postgraduate qualifications, one in change management. She has been awarded Fellowships from Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Institute of Management, Australian Human Resources Institute and the Australian institute of Training and Development.

As author of a best-selling textbook on Management and Organisational Behaviour, now in its tenth edition, I have read with great interest Anne’s innovative and thought provoking work on the neuroscience of change and The Almond Effect®.

I am pleased to reference the work of Anne Riches in this major text as an internationally recognised leader in neuroscientific research and the management of change.

Outside of Work

The Black Dog Institute has recognised Anne at two special annual award events for her volunteering for the Black Dog Institute. She presents, trains others and writes programs on mental health in the workplace especially about depression and bipolar disorder.

CanToo awarded her ‘Legend’ status for the funds she has raised for cancer research by racing in ocean swims.

And on top of all that, she is a passionate scuba diver and adventurer!

Anne … thank you! You knocked it out of the park!! It not only made but exceeded expectations. It was a lot of material to get into three hours but you did it … they got it … and now we have common language … plus we have a better means to communicate and deal with conscious issues.
